Salvation

 

 Jesus is the Savior, the Messiah, the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. Everyone is born into sin, and the consequence is death.  Jesus' words to Nicodemus are the greatest need in a man's life, "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."  (John 3:7)  Through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ you can be born again and have victory over sin & death.  

 

God loves you and wants to save you.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son,  that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Admit that you are a sinner.

Romans 3:10 - As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one.

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

 

Realize the penalty of sin.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus died in your place to atone for your sin.

Romans 5:8 - But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Repent of your sin.  (Repentance is a change of mind that leads to a change of direction -- a turning from sin to Christ.)

Matt 3:2 - ...Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Luke 13:3...except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

 

Receive Jesus as your Savior.  (Ask Him to come into your life and save you from your sin.  He offers you the gift of eternal life.)

Ephesians 2:8,9 - For by grace are ye saved through faith: and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 10:9 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

John 1:12 - But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
